Construction Insurance

The Department of Human Services (DHS) has arranged and funds PCI for departmental funded Capital Works transacted the State Government's Victorian Managed Insurance Authority (VMIA). Approved projects include:

  • Departmental building contracts (e.g. training centres, community facilities and ambulance stations).
  • Building works for funded health agencies with independent Boards of Management (e.g. public hospitals).

The range of organisations referred to as funded health agencies is included under the heading "Who is Covered".

The brokers have provided an Insurance Manual containing a detailed summary of the PCI program (Instructions for Construction Contractors).
