Planning and development of capital assets is to comply with the Gateway Review Process. Gateway Reviews are a State Government initiative to improve planning selection, management and investment for the State of Victoria.
The Review Process establishes a best practice, consistent approach to capital investment, with the focus being delivery of scope, time and budget within a robust risk management framework.
The Gateway Review Process aligns with six key decision points in a project's lifecycle to assure successful project delivery. The details associated with six reviews are available on the gateway review website. The sequence of Gateway Reviews is shown in Figure: Gateway Review Process below and further details are provided in the Gateway Review table.
Note: for major projects, value management reviews may be undertaken at several stages, eg; master plan and schematic design.
